Could not find folder with the name "inbox".
This means Notify could not find your inbox on the server. First, restart Notify to see if the problem solves itself.
If restarting Notify does not fix this error, see the "Can I change which folder Notify monitors?" question below for how to specify the correct folder for Notify to monitor.
-
Can I mark messages read when moving or deleting them?
Yes. Just hold down option while doing so.
-
Can I archive messages in Gmail?
Yes. Use the "Move To" menu to move the messages to the "All Mail" folder.
-
Can I change which folder Notify monitors?
Yes! Just configure the "Folder Name" option of the account. If you have a Gmail, MobileMe, or Rackspace account, hold down the "option" key while clicking edit to get to the advanced settings to change this option.

Notify can't seem to connect to my Gmail account.
If this is occuring, the first thing you should check is if IMAP is enabled for your Gmail/Google Apps account.
To do this, open your Gmail account in your browser, then click on "Settings" in the top right. Navigate to the "Forwarding and IMAP/POP" tab. Verify that the "IMAP Access" setting is toggled on.

Notify can't seem to connect to my account.
If Notify cannot connect to your account, there are a few things that could be going wrong. Here's a quick list.
There could be firewalls between you and the IMAP server, which are blocking the connection. There is nothing we can do about this - you'll need to look into configuring the firewalls to allow the connection. Another possible issue is an incompatibility between Notify and your IMAP server, such is the case with AOL IMAP accounts. Finally, make sure you double check your password and username, as this is the most common issue experienced.

Notify can connect, but I do not see any new messages.
Currently, Notify only checks for new messages in the "inbox" folder on your IMAP account. If you have a non-English account that uses a different name for the inbox, or your inbox just has a different name, you'll need to go into your IMAP account's settings, and change the "Folder Name" property to the correct folder. At the moment, Notify does not offer the monitoring of more than one folder.

Will you implement my requested feature? How long will it take?
When you file a feature request, we add it to a list of requested features. Features that are the most requested, and fit in with where we'd like to take the product will be implemented. If a feature does not fit in with our plans for a product, chances are it will not be implemented.
